Movie making has come across for almost two centuries and much refinement has been made in the industry. Movies are able to make us feel like we are living in a character place.

Into the Wilds
Into the Wilds is based upon a true story of Christopher McCandless, a top student and graduate from Emory University. He leaves all his belongings and his entire savings to the charity and embarks on the journey to hitchhike up to Alaska. This is an inspiring story and with the incredible landscape of Alaska. He meets different kinds of people along the way, share his story that shapes his life. In Alaska, he heads out into the wilderness to live on his own. His life is filled with random adventures and experience like no other.
Into the Wild is a 2007 American biographical adventure drama film written, co-produced, and directed by Sean Penn. The film stars Emile Hirsch as McCandless and Marcia Gay Harden and William Hurt as his parents; it also features Jena Malone, Catherine Keener, Brian Dierker, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Stewart, and Hal Holbrook.
The Motorcycle Diaries
The Motorcycle Diaries is a 2004 biographical film about the journey and written memories of the 23-year-old Ernesto Guevara. After several years later, he would become internationally known as the iconic Marxist guerrilla leader and revolutionary, Che Guevara. Guevara and his friend Alberto Granado, jumped on a motorcycle and rode across South America for eight months covering about 14000 kilometers. The movie presents a genuine and captivative picture of Latin America.
As well as being a road movie/travel movie, the film is a coming-of-age film i.e the growth of a protagonist from youth to adulthood. As the adventure, initially centered on youthful hedonism, unfolds, Guevara discovers himself transformed by his observations on the life of the impoverished indigenous peasantry. Through the characters they encounter on their continental trek, Guevara and Granado witness first hand the injustices that the extremely poor face and are exposed to people and social classes they would have never encountered otherwise.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is an incredible travel movie. Walter's and his co-worker's job was threatened when he lost a negative sent by Sean O’Connell. He went for a global journey that turned into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined. Featuring some of the magnificent travel destinations like Iceland, Greenland, Himalayas and even Afghanistan, this movie has inspired many to travel more and explore more.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a 2013 American adventure comedy-drama film directed, co-produced by and starring Ben Stiller and written by Steve Conrad. The film also stars Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn, and Sean Penn. It was chosen by the National Board of Review as one of the top ten films of 2013.
Wild
Wild is based upon the true story of a young woman who is set to trek 1100 miles on the Pacific Trail after the devastating loss of her mother. She takes the journey in the hope to recover from the death of her mother. Wild is full of beautiful scenes throughout the Pacific Northwest in the US. She crosses the dusty Mojave, crazy forests, snowy fields, and muddy trails, losing toenails but gaining mental clarity and self-acceptance along the way.
Wild is a 2014 American biographical adventure drama film directed by Jean-Marc Vallée. The film stars Reese Witherspoon as Cheryl Strayed, alongside Laura Dern (as Strayed's mother), with Thomas Sadoski, Michiel Huisman and Gaby Hoffmann. Both actresses i.e. Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern received Oscar nominations for their performances, in the categories of Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.
The Beach
The Beach is a 2000 drama adventure movie that has a little bit of everything; a good story, beautiful music and amazing scenery of Thailand. In the movie, Vicenarian Richard travels to Thailand and finds himself in possession of a strange map. The map is rumored to lead to a solitary beach paradise, with crystal clear water and crescent white sandy beaches. Thailand has to close the featuring beach due to the high number of tourists visiting the place after the release of the movie.
The film is directed by Danny Boyle and based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Alex Garland, which was adapted for the film by John Hodge. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tilda Swinton, Virginie Ledoyen, Guillaume Canet, and Robert Carlyle. It was filmed on the Thai island of Ko Phi Phi Le.
The Way
The Way is a 2010 Spanish drama film directed, produced and written by Emilio Estevez and starring Martin Sheen, Deborah Kara Unger, James Nesbitt, Yorick van Wageningen, and Renée Estevez. This is a beautiful and heart-warming story of a father who walked the Camino de Santiago trail in Spain, to honor his dead son who recently died while trekking that same trail. The 800km journey was an eye-opening and emotional path for him. Forced to be friends with complete strangers, listening to their stories and sharing his own, it has been an emotional roller coaster ride for him. The movie features a very eclectic mix of characters, all walking the path for their own personal reasons.
