Away from the shuttled city, Balthali is one of the lesser exposed natural beauty. A trip to Balthali village is what you need to take a break from your monotonic busy schedule. A hilltop settlement seeped in traditional practices and endowed with breathtaking vistas gives anyone a chance to experience the beauty of nature and its simplicity. Head out to Balthali for a one-night stay and get a dose of refreshing adventure.

The metal suspension bridge over Rosi River connecting two villages on the hill. Other numerous suspension or wooden bridges can also be seen in the area, connecting different settlements.

Typical village houses made up of stones and mud are found in the village. Houses are usually 3-4 storey so that, they could create space to store grains from farm. 

Farming and animal husbandry is the main occupation of residents of Balthali village. You can see villagers tending their farms, grazing their cattle and flocks of hens and ducks feeding freely in the fields along the way to Balthali and in the village area as well. Even though other craft prevail, it is not taken as their main occupation.

Hills of Balthali is fully covered with orange trees and villagers can be seen gathering oranges to sell in the nearby market.
