On December 9, 2022, the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu officially kicked off the beginning of its holiday celebration with the lighting of its Christmas tree in the presence of city luminaries, media friends, and business partners from the city.
The Christmas tree, decked out with dazzling lights, traditionally printed ornaments, and glittering tinsels, is befitting to be the focal point of the Grand Lobby.
The hotel’s team curated this year’s yuletide décor under the guidance of the Director of Rooms, Pooja Ghosh and the Director of Engineering, Baby Jose, who paid homage to the artistry of the Newari community. This is something that the hotel has always championed as the “True Heart of Nepal.”
The event began with a welcome speech from the General Manager, Ashish Kumar, followed by Christmas carols. Soon after, Santa Claus arrived with a bag full of goodies.
Executive Chef Gopal Sethi created a gourmet Christmas feast for the event, displaying an array of delicacies for high tea. A spectacular display of holiday treats, including assorted Bruschetta, Plum Cake, German Stollen Bread, Strawberry Panna Cotta, and Linzer Torte, was laid out for the guests.
The event was further enhanced by live music performances and a delectable feast from Sesame to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
