The stunning views of the Himalayas, the warm hospitality of the Nepalese people, and the delicious food made this trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience

As an avid trekker, I have always been fascinated by the beauty of the Himalayas. And when it came to choosing a destination for my next trek, Poon Hill stood out as the perfect choice. Located in the Annapurna region of Nepal, Poon Hill offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and an incredible trekking experience that is sure to leave you spellbound. In this blog, I will take you through my incredible Poon Hill trekking experience and share with you the highlights of my journey.

My journey to Poon Hill started with a flight to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. From there, I took a bus to Pokhara, a beautiful city that serves as the gateway to the Annapurna region. The bus ride was bumpy, but the stunning scenery along the way more than made up for it.

The trekking trail starts from Nayapul, a small town about an hour's drive from Pokhara. The trekking trail is well-marked, and I was able to follow it easily. The first day of the trek was relatively easy, with gentle uphill climbs through small villages and terraced fields.

As we gained altitude, the scenery changed, and we were soon surrounded by snow-capped mountains and dense forests. The air was crisp and refreshing, and I felt invigorated as I walked through the beautiful landscape.

After four days of trekking, I finally reached Poon Hill. At an altitude of 3,210 meters, Poon Hill offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan range, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. The sunrise view from Poon Hill is a sight to behold, and I highly recommend waking up early to witness it.

The climb to Poon Hill was challenging, but the views from the top were worth it. The sunrise was breathtaking, and I felt like I was standing on top of the world. The golden rays of the sun slowly illuminated the mountains, and the surrounding landscape came alive with color.

The descent from Poon Hill was equally challenging, but the beautiful scenery kept me going. The trail was steep in places, but I was able to descend safely with the help of my guide.

The villages along the trekking trail were charming and picturesque, with traditional houses and terraced fields. The locals were always ready with a smile and a friendly greeting, and I felt welcome wherever I went.

The food during the trek was simple but delicious. Nepalese cuisine consists of dal bhat, a dish made of lentil soup and rice, and various types of curries. The food was always fresh and cooked to perfection, and I enjoyed every meal during the trek.

My Poon Hill trekking experience was an unforgettable journey that I will cherish forever. The stunning views of the Himalayas, the warm hospitality of the Nepalese people, and the delicious food made this trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you are an avid trekker looking for an adventure in the Himalayas, I highly recommend Poon Hill. It will be a journey you will never forget.
