Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has inaugurated tourism and mountaineering education at Bhanujan Secondary School in Phungling Municipality-4 of Taplejung today.
Minister Bhattarai said that tourism education was needed for economic development along with tourism promotion as Nepal is also one of the centers of world tourism.
On the occasion, an agreement was signed between Romnath Gyawali, Executive Director of Nepal Mountain Training Academy (NATHAM) for Tourism and Mountaineering Education and Kishor Rai, Principal of Bhanujan Secondary School. The agreement stipulates that the academy will provide trainers for teaching subjects related to tourism and mountaineering in class 11 and 12, provide other technical and educational assistance as per the need to provide courses and study materials on tourism and mountaineering subjects and more about tourism.
