According to Padam Budha, a conservation officer for the park, up to 150 domestic tourists visit Rara, which has been deserted for seven months due to the Corona epidemic. "The number of visitors to Rara, which was deserted in the past, is increasing," he said. "Hotels and villages around Rara are now filling up."

According to the park, about 3,000 domestic tourists have visited Rara in October and November this year. Most of the domestic tourists come to Rara by motorcycle, jeep, and air, said Budha. Due to the increase in the number of tourists visiting Rara, Tara, Sita and Goma Airlines operate five to seven daily flights from Surkhet and Nepalgunj to Rara Airport.

Mugu Jharika Ramesh Rawat said that the number of domestic tourists has increased as the months of Chaitra, Vaishakh, Jeth, Bhadra, Asoj, and Kartik are suitable for visiting Rara. "Most of the tourists come to visit Rara after the end of winter and rains," he said. "Besides, very few tourists come at other times."

Hotelier Bhakta Bahadur Budha of Sinja Gothijula ​​said that the number of hotels on the Karnali Highway has also increased as the number of people going to Rara on holiday has increased. "Hotels and other businesses along the Karnali Highway have become busier due to the number of tourists visiting Rara," he said.
