Dhangadhi might not be among the major tourist destinations in Nepal, but it abounds a lot of uniquely beautiful things and places that worth a visit.

Also known as Jokhar taal, this small lake is among the prime spots for a picnic or what so many Nepali families and friends love to do on Saturdays. Although the water does not invite for swimming, you can still enjoy and take some deep and calming breaths in the fresh air.
This resort opened just a few months ago, It provides you with several comfortable rooms with double beds and attached bathrooms in order to provide you a relaxing weekend within the beautiful nature of Nepal's Terai, delicious Tharu dishes, and a lot of cultural activities.
Established by former Nepalese Pilot Bed Upreti and his trust on 17th September 2014, it is the first aircraft museum of Nepal. The museum is inside a defunct foker-100 plane, so if you're an airplane enthusiast or a student, it might be the best place to visit.
Being western Terai's largest grassland, it is home to Asia's largest population of beautiful swamp deer. Along with that a lot of other species can also be found at the Shuklaphanta National Park including crocodiles, elephants, rhinos, tigers, and a lot of migratory birds. Before being transformed into a protected area, it was a well-known hunting place for the Nepalese Royalty. Even though you can't enjoy hunting anymore, you can still have a moment of your life witnessing the beauty of the wilderness.
Some other highlights of the city are Godawari River, GhodaGhodi lake, Bethkot lake, and Mohana river - the river that divides the borders of Nepal and India in the South-Western part.
