The homestay in Yangjakot has been open for ten years and catered to tourists visiting the charming village.

Yangjakot, a tourist village in Kaski, is considered to be a historic site of Gurung before the reign of the then Shah Dynasty king. The homestay, which was open for a decade targeting tourists in the picturesque village, became deserted due to Corona.

With the disappearance of the Corona threat, the number of tourists visiting the homestays and scenic spots in Kaski's Madi rural municipality-3 Yangjakot has increased rapidly since last one year. Yangjakot is also the birthplace of culture expert Dr. Jagman Gurung. In recent years, with the development of roads and transport in the village of Kaski, local and foreign tourists can easily reach the place.

From Kahukhola, you can reach Yangjakot via Kaseri, Sunpandheli, Chitepani, Madbensi, Majadihi in Tarkang. To reach Yangjakot, there is a 12 km paved road from Kahukhola to Majhadihi and a 6 km unpaved road.

There are currently nine homestays operating in Yangjakot. One hundred and thirty guests can be accommodated there. As the office of Madi rural municipality is also in the same place, the number of people is increasing even more. In addition to the increase in the number of tourists in the village recently, the ward has emphasized on the development of historical and tourist spots here.

After it snows on Krapu hill, there is a rush of tourists who go to play in the snow. Homestays operated by Gurung and Magar attract more tourists. Tourists are attracted by the rituals and services they provide. Gujumuch settlement is located on the east side of Yangjakot at a height of 14.50 meters above sea level. As soon as the sun shines, everyone's courtyards will be sunny, and the number of people going to eat forest food from Pokhara in the 250 households of Kuria Yangjako has also started to increase recently.

Tourists are also attracted by the Annapurna snow range lying in front of their eyes. After the opening of a temporary track to connect Krapu from Tangting three years ago, the number of tourists visiting there has increased significantly since last year.

This area is considered to be the ancient and historical place of the Gurung tribe, where snow falls in winter, red flowers bloom and colorful flowers bloom all over the ground in winter. Apart from the view of the sunrise from here, you can see Annapurna and Lamjung Himal from nearby, while you can see many villages of Kaski and Lamjung. Yangjakot has become an important tourist attraction center of Kaski district due to its cultural identity and pure environmental environment.

From Yangjakot, Annapurna snow range as well as some parts of Pokhara Valley, Pumdi's Shanti Stupa, Shiva Temple, Sarangkot, Kanhukot and Dharahara, Madi River, tourist spots Thak, Mauza, Taprang, Khilang, Tarkang, Madbensi Saimrang can be seen from Yangjakot.

“Three to four groups are coming there every day to stay in the homestays that are open for tourists. Five to six groups arrive on Friday and Saturday. The homestay owner says that domestic tourists from Pokhara and the surrounding areas come there looking for a peaceful environment to get rid of the stress of daily work. Yangjakot can be reached after crossing the road for 18 kilometers from Kanhukhola in Pokhara,” said Khimkumari Gurung, who has been operating a homestay.

“If we could build a six-kilometer road leading to Yangjakot, the village would be full of tourists. The rural municipality has planned to expand the unpaved road to bring foreign tourists there because Krapu hill above the village is considered to be very important for tourism,” said Ward president Gurung._Rss
