Tilagufa, located in Tilagufa Municipality-5 of Kalikot district, has started to become the choice of tourists.
Due to the naming of the municipality after the cave and the construction of infrastructure through the municipality, Tilagufa has started to become a tourist attraction.
Tilagufa, which is 100 meters from the Karnali highway and is 47 meters long in the bank of the Tila River, has been visited by domestic and sometimes external tourists.
Since there is also a road to Rara, the main tourist destination of Nepal, both internal and external tourists visit the cave. The length of the cave, which has natural religious significance, is 40 meters and the width is about three meters.
Now, in order to reach the cave, the municipality has built an orderly road with railings from the road to the cave, and other infrastructure including the temple has been built, a local religion.
More hotels and homestays are yet to be managed so that the tourists who come here can taste organic products such as apples, beans and fish from Tilaka.
“The forest banquet hall, the waiting room and the footpath around the lake have been constructed. Boats will have to be constructed in the Tila River to promote cave tourism. There is a plan to start publicity work by making a detailed documentary about the tourist site and posters about it," Ward president Upendra Prasad Neupane informed._Rss
