Reconstruction of 47 heritages of Pashupati area damaged by Gorkha earthquake has been completed. 

According to Pashupati Area Development Trust, the reconstruction of 11 more heritages at the area is underway. A total of 90 heritages of the Pashupati area were damaged by the Gorkha earthquake.  Seven heritages including Bishworupa Temple and Gaurighat are in the construction process. 

PADT Director Bharat Marasini told Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that the reconstruction work of 25 heritages is yet to be started. 

Reconstruction of Chandra Binayak temple was completed last week.  Soil is to be brought from Sankhu and Lubhu for the reconstruction of the Jayabageshwori temple of the Pashupati area. A problem has surfaced in its reconstruction in the lack of new timber to be placed at the lower part of the temple in the market. 

The Gorkha earthquake that occurred on April 25, 2015, had damaged 920 heritages across the nation, according to the National Reconstruction Authority. Of them, 464 (50.5 percent) have been reconstructed so far and the reconstruction of 272 heritages is underway.
