Blowing horns have been banned in Chitwan's Bharatpur from today. Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality will also manage small and large vehicles.
With rapid urbanization causing problems in vehicle management, the metropolis has arranged for mandatory parking at the Central Bus Terminal and Narayangarh Bus Park from today. A week ago, the meeting of the stakeholders held in the metropolitan city took various decisions to manage the vehicles and decided to implement them from today.
According to the decision, passenger buses, minibuses, micro buses and other rental vehicles going from the east to Kathmandu-Pokhara will have to exit from Anptari by using the bypass road from the central bus park. It has been arranged that passenger vehicles going from East to West Butwal, Dhangadhi, and Mahendranagar will pick up and drop passengers at the Central Bus Park and exit from Pulchok via Choubiskothi and Lineschowk. A rule has been made that westbound passenger vehicles should pick up and drop off passengers from the Central Bus Park.
Similarly, Narayangadh Bus Park will be the parking place for vehicles plying on the ring road of Bharatpur Metropolitan Area. Arrangements have been made for parking at the central bus park for passenger buses going from Bharatpur to Tandi, Parsa, Bhandara, and Lothar. Entry of trucks and long-distance buses going to Pokhara Bus Park from Narayangadh Bazar Bridge has been prohibited.
Passenger vehicles going east or west from Kathmandu-Pokhara, including cargo vehicles such as trucks, lahri, and tippers, are prohibited from going from Anptari to Narayanghat Bazar. Blowing horns is prohibited in the market area from Gondrang to Pulchok Aamptari in the metropolis. Similarly, private and rental vehicles are prohibited from parking on the right and left side of the highway in Narayangadh and Bharatpur.
“They are going to manage the vehicles according to the vision of the metropolis. Due to the vehicles parked outside, the beauty of the city has decreased and traffic has also been affected, so the work of the market and parking management is going to be done side by side,” said Renu Dahal, head of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality.
“The traffic management work will change from today and two bus parks will be fully operational. I am going to implement the decision. I have discussed it with the transport businessmen many times,” said Dharma Bahadur Adhikari, head of the District Traffic Police Office._Rss
