In Pauwadung, Chyangra Pond, which is the main beauty of the village center, is being protected. The rural municipality has started construction at a cost of more than two million rupees to connect it with economic resources by developing it as a tourist destination.
This pond, which is the center of attraction of the entire rural municipality, can be considered the main tourist destination of the district. For the larger development of the pond, the rural municipality is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for further development. According to the rural municipality, the development is being done using modern technology while keeping the originality of the pond.
This is the second year since the work started. So far 40 percent of the work has been completed. Although this pond is a destination with tourist potential, it has become overshadowed. Although there are domestic tourists who come to see the natural beauty of the pond, there are few foreign tourists.
It was named 'Chyangra Pond' because in ancient times Chyangra used to come here and drink the water of the pond and rest all day in the pond after drinking water. Since the pond was built, the water in the pond does not dry up in any drought. It is a famous pond of religious importance, but it has fallen into the shadows due to a lack of publicity. The rural municipality has started work for its development.
Chyangra market is also called here by the name of this pond. Now, this market has expanded as the main market of the rural municipality. This pond is the destination of anyone visiting Chyangra. Domestic tourists come here to relax, stroll, relax, take pictures and enjoy the scenery.
There is a large gathering of devotees at the Panchakanya temple near the pond during various pujas. If the tourism of the pond of historical and religious importance can be promoted, economic support will come from the tourism business. This is an important religious and tourist area, fairs are held here at different times, and the increase in people's movement will also help businesses. Different colors of the pond can be seen in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
“According to the plan, further expansion and protection of the pond is being done with 70 percent of the cost-sharing of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of the Government of Nepal and 30 percent of the rural municipality,” said Navin Bhattarai, chief administrative officer of the rural municipality
"Pond conservation work is being done in cost-sharing with the ministry, 40 percent of the work has been completed so far, we are doing the work of pond conservation at a fast pace, and there is an agreement that can be completed by 2080," said Chief administrative officer Bhattarai.
“The conservation work has been started to increase the traffic of tourists by giving the pond a special attraction. The rural municipality is working on its development and promotion. We will work according to the DPR for greater development, the goal is to establish it as an attraction center of the district." Said According to Jyotsana Rai, the vice chairman of the village
“After a great effort for the protection of the pond, it was possible to work by allocating the budget from the central government. Now the pond will be surrounded by a wall, a five-meter garden will be built around it, a park will be built for children, a water fountain (mountain falls) will be placed in the middle, and boating will be possible,” said Kiran Rai, the chairman of the rural municipality
According to the municipality, work is also being done for the development of Arun Danda, another tourist spot of the municipality. The aim is to increase the flow of domestic and foreign tourists by developing and promoting such areas._Rss
