A recently opened restaurant at Bakhundole heights, Crazy Dumplings is a fantastic spot to hang out with your loved ones. The cosy ambience and the excellent food prepared by the young chefs Tufan Chauhan and Kunga Dorje Lama are a treat to your eyes and tummy.
The first dish we tried was their best-selling Chicken Mo:Mo Platter. This platter has a total of 20 mo:mo, two of each kind, along with the sauce. From the soft cover of steam momo to crunchy fried and flavourful sadheko and choila mo:mo, this platter fulfills your cravings for different mo:mos at once.
As we were gobbling the mo:mo, we were served another dish, Potstickers, recommended by the restaurant’s owner Elina Manandhar. Filled with unique flavours, these potstickers were dumplings served with three different varieties of dipping sauce. These three sauces were the dish's highlight, making the dumplings tastier.
Another mouthwatering dish at Crazy Dumpling is the Buffalo Chicken Wings; the soft meat inside and the layer of sauces in the outer part gave the sweet and tangy flavour, which is very different from the ones typically found elsewhere. This dish is a must-try here!
We wanted to try something sweet, so we ordered Tuxedo and strawberry lime mojito. Trust us in this; both of these drinks were our absolute favourites. Coffee and chocolaty Tuxedo and fresh and fruity strawberry lime mojito are the perfect choices to lighten up your mood.
We were full but couldn't resist the last dish, Cottage Cheese Steak. This vegetarian dish had cheese at the bottom layer and vegetables at the top, served with the salad as the side dish with a special sauce topping. When you grab a bite of it, you can feel the taste of cheese in it. This dish is recommended if you are craving something tasty, healthy and filling.
Manandhar, who made sure we had the time of our lives at Crazy Dumpling, said, “Our motto is ‘Crazy dumpling, crazy good’, which stays true to the food we serve here.”
