Beldhunga is a must-visit for nature lovers and hikers. With improved infrastructure and accessibility, visitors can now easily explore this heavenly sanctuary nestled in the Nagbeli River forest.

Beldhunga, located in Myagdi and Baglung districts of Nepal, is a perfect destination for hiking enthusiasts. After the construction of footpaths and bicycle lanes, hiking has become increasingly popular here. The dense forest surrounding Beldhunga is home to a massive rock in the shape of a flat bell, which can be reached via a 260-meter-long footpath made of laid stones. From the top of the rock, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the White Mountains shining like silver to the north, the blooming Laligurans at night in Chait-Vaisakh, and the Nagbeli river forest sanctuary.

Beldhunga, standing at an altitude of 2,614 meters above sea level, has been attracting an increasing number of domestic tourists each year, especially during the spring season. In the previous year, seven thousand domestic tourists visited Beldhunga, and this year, 12,000 more have already arrived by the 26th of Chait.

After the establishment of a community homestay in the nearby village of Okhale, food and accommodation are no longer an issue for tourists who come from far away to stay. Visitors can see the 12 snow ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, the Myagdi River, the rivers and waterfalls of Myagdi and Baglung districts, including Kaligandaki, and the forests, wild animals, and birds of all four districts of Dhaulagiri zone of Sawik from Beldhunga. The place also offers stunning views of sunrise and sunset.

Ward Chairman Padam Pun informed that Beni Municipality-3 and Kanthekhola Rural Municipality-3 of Baglung have spent more than 40 lakhs for the construction of tourist infrastructure in Beldhunga. The provincial government has invested in road construction as well. With the increase in domestic tourists, there has been a rush to build infrastructure here.

Beldhunga was relatively unknown a decade ago until the construction of infrastructure such as access roads from both Myagdi and Baglung sides, footpaths, bicycle lanes, homestays, parking, etc. made it more accessible. People who come here to play in the snow during winter and in search of coolness during summer have increased the activity.

Beldhunga is not only a place for observing natural beauty but also a suitable place for spiritual contemplation, according to Durgaram Subedi of Beni, who recently visited Beldhunga. Amar Baniyan, Chairman of Dhaulagiri Tourism Council, Myagdi, said that Laliguras, which bloom at night in Chait and Baisakh, can attract the hearts of anyone who comes here.

Visitors can now easily reach the top of Beldhunga from Bensi Chautari, which was previously a dangerous route. The construction of a convenient staircase (footpath) has made it much easier to reach the top. A footpath has been constructed from Swargasram to Bensi Chowtari, costing around eight lakhs from Beninagarpalika-3, and from there to Beldhunga at a cost of around eight lakhs from both wards. Visitors can reach Beldhunga after an uphill climb of about an hour from Swargasram through an attractively constructed footpath._Rss
