Unwind at Riverside Spring Resort and discover the simple pleasure of Kurintar

In today's hectic world everyone needs some time to put their feet up and just relax. If you're looking for a place to unwind and spend the weekend having fun, Riverside Spring Resort (RSR) is your ideal place to take a break this summer.

100 km away from Kathmandu, RSR is almost the mid-way point when travelling to places like Chitwan, Pokhara, Gorkha and Bandipur. Located along the banks of the Trishuli River, RSR is known to offer guests a memorable stay in well-kept air conditioned cabins which are perfect for couples and family. Apart from these cottages RSR also has tents and dormitories which can accommodate large groups. The wi-fi is free and available throughout the resort.

The best part about RSR is its fantastic spring water swimming pool which is perfect for splashing and swimming to beat the heat. The pool is an ideal family hangout spot as both kids and adults can spend time in the pool with its thoughtfully planned design. There is a bar submerged in the pool where you can get something to drink while relaxing in the pool. The resort also has another bar which overlooks the Trishuli River and the swimming pool which is an ideal place to relax with a book or take in the cool evening breeze and enjoy the sun setting over the tall hills that surround the place.

The restaurant also has a garden and a veranda and offers both Nepali and continental delicacies. I would strongly recommend the Nepali dal-bhat (rice and pulses) along with the local fish from the river. Beside the interesting menu, guests also have the option to take the buffet which is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

RSR is the famous lunch time stop for a lot of visitors who are travelling the highway and making their way to or from Kathmandu and Green Line busses ferrying tourist. If you are planning to stay at RSR it’s better to pre-book as the place can get quite full during the weekends.

RSR is a good for a weekend getaway or a break from driving and offers a quick lunch buffet self-service. The views are fantastic and the peaceful, natural, supportive infrastructure makes it a great place to take a relaxing break.

Activities to indulge in

Besides taking a relaxing dip in the pool, RSR offers a lot of activities to indulge in as well. One of them is rafting on the Trishuli River. You can start from Fishling and wind up at RSR to camp on the bank of Trishuli complimented with a bonfire.

If you are staying at RSR you can also visit the holy temple of Manakamana, which is a 4 hour hike through local villages and that offers an excellent opportunity to witness and interact with rural life in Nepal. There is also a cable car service that takes you to the temple in 20 minutes.

There is the possibility of horse riding on request and this is popular especially with the kids and walking along the banks of the river is also a pleasant experience if you enjoy nature and collecting different kinds of stones for memories.
