Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu  proudly hosted "The Fairfield for Children," a special community engagement initiative aimed at empowering the students of the Blind Children Educational Centre. The event, scheduled for the evening of 22nd August 2024, featured the handover of an advanced pottery machine to the children, symbolizing the commitment to supporting their creative potential and overall development.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Honorable Indira Rana Magar, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament in Nepal, who had the honor of handing over the pottery machine to the Blind Children Educational Centre. The event was also highlighted by the presence of the CEO of UNESCO, underscoring the importance of global initiatives that support and uplift children with special needs.

Juju Kaji Maharjan, a dedicated social worker, is not just a guide and teacher at ArtBeat, but also a visionary who has made significant contributions to the project. Juju Kaji plays vital to ArtBeat's effort to unite people via creativity and has a strong desire to use art's transformative potential. The tireless efforts of Artbeat are not limited to art instruction; they are about fostering social change, using art as a medium to bridge divides, inspire empathy, and cultivate a community spirit.  

Gaurav Agrawal, Managing Director of Fairfield, extended his heartfelt thanks to the entire team that supported the project. He highlighted that the art and pottery crafted by the blind children will be sold by Fairfield, with all proceeds going directly to support their future and independence. Gaurav warmly encouraged everyone to purchase these beautiful creations, emphasizing that by doing so, they are not just buying art,they are helping to change lives.

General Manager Bishal Mehra, speaking on behalf of the Fairfield team, expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the event. He elegantly remarked, “This initiative is not just a one-time effort for us; it’s part of an ongoing journey that deepens our bond with the community.” Bishal shared that the team recently visited Manav Sewa Ashram, where they provided clothes and appliances to support those in need indicating their commitment to making a real impact on society. Looking ahead, he announced another Art Market scheduled for September 7th, as Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu continues its mission to uplift and support the community. He concluded with a powerful message: “Together, we are not just creating moments of joy; we’re building a legacy of compassion and community support.”
