The Pashupati Area Development Fund has banned plastic in the Pashupati premises. It believes it will greatly contribute towards Swachha Pashupati Campaign. It is done in an effort to reduce waste in the area.

Plastic has been banned in the Pashupatinath temple premises from today. The Pashupati Area Development Fund has published a notice today and said that plastic has been banned in the Pashupatinath temple premises due to the increase in waste because of plastic in the Pashupati area.

The notice of the development fund says, "Since the sacred Pashupati area looks more dirty due to plastic materials, we should not bring plastic materials to this area and let us all join hands to make the Swachha Pashupati campaign a success."

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has conducted a cleanliness drive in Pashupati area every Saturday for three months. The cleanliness campaign is running from 8 am to 10 am on Saturday and the fund has requested everyone to participate in the campaign._RSS
