Five hundred kilos of garbage have been collected from the cleaning campaign of the tourist spot Panch Pokhari. Panch Pokhari is also included in the list of must-visit tourist places in the year 2020.
The cleanliness campaign was conducted because the fair will be held on the occasion of Janai Purnima, and the indiscriminate use of plastic, bottles and other materials by devotees and tourists will spoil the environment.
A cleaning campaign was organized by Panch Pokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality, Nepal Tourism Board, and New Vision Nepal in coordination with Arso Nepal and TGH Nepal. Panch Pokhari is the ninth highest place in the world.
“500 kilos of waste, both rotable and non-rotable, were collected and brought to the waste collection center in Bhotang through porters,” said Hark Tamang, the project coordinator of Arso Nepal, a support organization.
“A cleanliness campaign was started from Bhotang of Panch Pokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality with the slogan 'Our vision in tourism promotion is to keep our creation clean',” Secretary of Culture Tourism Promotion Committee Mukund Pandey informed._Rss
