On the road Bensisahar-Chame, there is a raindrop falling down. Water falling from a height of more than 100 meters falls on the road. The rainbow seen with the sunlight on the water falling on the roof adds even more beauty. The Octopus Waterfall, which falls like the legs of an octopus, is located in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4 Chamcha.
Even the tourists who went to Manang by vehicle, stop their vehicles and enjoy the waterfall. Chhaara easily entices anyone who gets there. Some of the tourists who are fascinated by looking at the face take photos of the face, while others take their own photos and selfies with the face in the background. Due to the long period of silence due to the first to the third wave of corona infection, the number of daily tourists has started to increase as the risk of infection has decreased.
Most of the tourists who reach the waterfall have the same opinion. As this waterfall falls in the middle of the road between Benisahar and Chame, it attracts passengers and tourists who go by motorcycle. For some time, only 10 to 12 people who traveled to Manang by vehicle used to enjoy the waterfall, but now the tourists are increasing rapidly, according to the locals.
Similarly, the number of tourists has started to increase at Bung Jharna in the same ward, which is near the Annapurna footpath. It is said that 80 to 100 tourists visit this waterfall, which has been deserted for some time. This chhahara, located at a distance of 32 km from the headquarters of Benisahar, has started to attract the attention of tourists.
“Domestic and foreign tourists have started coming here daily from 100 to 200 people. With the increase in the number of tourists coming to the footpath, the number of tourists coming to the waterfall has also started to increase. Even though the election is focusing the attention of most of the people, the tourists are being lured by the waterfalls including that.” Said Arjun Gurung, chairman of the rural municipality.
“When tourists arrive, the tourism business will also flourish. If we can organize the further promotion of such waterfalls that attract tourists, the number of tourists will come every twelve months and the business will also run well," said Pancha Bahadur Gurung, a tourism businessman.
“There will be a crowd of people taking pictures and taking selfies with the stars shining in the background.” Said Purna Bahadur Gurung, a local._Rss
