The airport closed for more than 10 years resumed its service after the completion of blacktopping in the airport. Airport chief Mohan Giri informed that the test flight was conducted 10 days back after the blacktopping was finished regular flight began from Tuesday.

The test flights with 18 passengers were conducted by Summit Air from Dhangadhi. The airport will be operating its service on a scheduled basis. Now onwards, the flights will be conducted twice a week.

Traveling to Bajhang takes much more time via road and is risky as well. Resumption of the air service will help local people in many ways and has brought joy among the local people.
