Sita Air will operate flights from Taplejung to Kathmandu and Taplejung to Bhadrapur on Wednesday. As the number of tourists visiting Taplejung rises, a new flight has been added.
Two airlines, namely Nepal Airlines and Sita Air, are going to fly to Suketar Airport (Taplejung).
A schedule is being made to fly Taplejung-Viratnagar at least once a week targeting the capital of Province No. 1. The flight schedule of Taplejung-Viratnagar will also be decided along with the flight schedule of TwinOtter aircraft of Nepal Air Service Nimg from Falgunand Sukilumba Airport in Ilam.
Earlier, Sita Air was flying Kathmandu-Taplejung-Kathmandu, but the flight was suspended due to low visibility during the rainy season. It is said that the flights have been continued as the weather will clear and the tourists increases. The fare rate of Sita Air from Taplejung to Bhadrapur is Rs 5,385 and to Kathmandu is Rs 9,285.
“Although Sita Air is scheduled to fly from Suketar Airport three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Sita Air will fly twice on Wednesdays. There will be two flights from Taplejung to Bhadrapur and Kathmandu in Jhapa on Wednesday,” said Siri Khadka, head of the office.
