Aloft Kathmandu Thamel Honors the Mt. K2 Submitters 

Aloft Kathmandu Thamel celebrated the historic achievement of the first-ever ascent of Mt. K2 this winter with the legendary climbers.

Aloft Kathmandu Thamel celebrated the historic achievement of the first-ever ascent of Mt. K2 this winter with the legendary climbers, eminent foreign dignitaries, and prominent businessmen. The evening was filled with conversations centering on climate change, unity and the climbing community. There was a sense of pride and joy overlooking the entire evening.  

This grand victory celebration was hosted by the Chairman Mr. Prithvi Bahadur  Pande and Mrs. Pratima Pande of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel at the Nilgiri’s Skye  Lounge. It was attended by Mr. Vikram Singh, General Manager of Aloft Kathmandu  Thamel, H.E. Mr. Randy Berry American Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Hanan Goder - Israel  Ambassador, H.E. Francois Xavier LEGER -French Ambassador, Dr. Simon Green British Embassy, H.E. Esala Ruwan Weerakoon- Secretary-General of the South Asian  Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Nirmal Purja, Mingma David Sherpa and the team. 

Chairman Mr. Prithvi Bahadur Pande stated, “This is a proud moment for all Nepalis and on behalf of the Aloft Kathmandu Thamel family, I would like to express my appreciation to all the climbers for making the entire country proud, he said adding.  “You have taught us about teamwork and how important it is to work together to  achieve our common goals.” 
Mr. Vikram Singh, the General Manager, also shared, ”It is with immense pleasure that  we welcome the pride of Nepal and the champions of K2 at the heights of Nilgiri Skye  Lounge. We thank them for bringing joy to the county and the world during these  tough times. They are ‘supermen’, having achieved a great feat while highlighting  climate change and the environment. We look forward to more glory from them, both  individually and for the nation.” 

With their courageous journey to summit the ‘impossible’, this very speical group has  send national pride surging though the Himalayas and Aloft Kathmandu Thamel was  proud to mark this momentous feat with a grand celebration that created long lasting  memories.
