The soon to be operational Aloft Kathmandu Thamel invited friends from the travel trade and media for its grand pre-opening event on July 17. Making your way through the suave interiors, you’re immediately taken aback by the vibrancy of colours and play of sassy wall décor.
Well-known faces, tourism entrepreneurs, friends mingled and reconnected at this peppy gathering at W XYZ Bar. Taking groups for the tour of the property at various intervals certainly livened up the spirit. Apt for the modern traveller, this property boasts 167 rooms including the Breezy Suite, Savvy Suite and Loft. Ringing true to the words ‘savvy, spacy and sassy’, the modern accommodations all came with local touches and a view to die for. Their swimming pool ‘Splash’ is a breath of fresh air, high above overlooking the valley.
Abuzz with excitement and energy, the party was attended by old and new faces mingling over drinks, cheese and crackers, sushi bars and sizzling barbecues. It was also the first Live@Aloft event attended by the travel trade community.
Bringing celebrations to an end, the chic all-day dining restaurant, Nook hosted guests for a sumptuous dinner and later an impressive 100 kg cake-cutting ceremony was also held.
