Daal, Bhaat and Tarkari with Aachaar (pickles) is not only a daily food routine for Nepalese; it’s an emotion and obsession we are always eager to want for dinner and lunch.
When it comes to tastes, the Thakali set is at the top, which decorates its thali with two or three varieties of achaar, vegetables, meat, salad and bhaat and daal with ghee. Today we will introduce you to an authentic typical Thakali Khana Restaurant that serves authentic indigenous flavours and is located on an alleyway next to Bajeko Sekuwa, Gairigaun, Tinkune.
Thakali Bhanchha Ghar has been everyone’s preferred place to serve this cuisine for the past 21 years. The ambience is very welcoming and charming; that feels like a warm embrace from home. This thali is served with kaalo daal, fired potatoes (aalu ko bhujiya), vegetables (saag), with three different varieties of pickles ( aalu ko achaar, mula ko achaar and gundruk ko achaar). The combination of all food items with gravy, chicken and ghee will leave you speechless for the time being.
Furthermore, it offers a simple khana set, chicken khana, mutton khana, and fish based on your order, and the service is prompt. Their Chicken Thali, which comes at Rs 500, is the best taste to experience.
