Embassy of UAE, Kathmandu recognises 47th National Day and strengthens ties with Nepal
On November 30, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Kathmandu celebrated their 47th National day at Hotel Yak & Yeti’s Regal Ballroom. The event was hosted by His Excellency Saeed Hamdan Alnaqbi – U.A.E Ambassador to Nepal, and graced by Vice President of Nepal Nanda Kishor Pun, along with other top political leaders and government officials, Chiefs of the Nepal Army and Nepal Police, ambassadors from various foreign missions and corporate houses.
The reception commenced with the national anthems of Nepal and the U.A.E, followed by a ceremonial cutting of an anniversary cake and a toast between Nepal’s Vice President and His Excellency the U.A.E Ambassador. A short documentary of the history of the U.A.E was projected as attendees enjoyed snacks and drinks. The full buffet dinner included many Middle Eastern delicacies and dishes such as hummus, baba ganoush, chicken shawarma, as well as Nepali specialties.
