On the occasion of Kartik Shukla Purnima, a special fair is held every year in Janki Rural Municipality-2 Joggaon and Ward No. 5 Guruwa Village.
“People come from Banke, Dang, Surkhet, and different places of India to fill the fair which started on Tuesday.” Said Chhabban Khan, chairman of Janaki Rural Municipality.
“The Joggaon Mela held at Joggaon Babakutty also has a cultural program at night. People come from different places of Banke, Bardia, Dang, Surkhet as well as Rupaidiha, Nanpara, Shravasti, Khiri Lakhimpur in India to fill this fair which is known as old fair,” he added.
“This year more people than last year have come to fill the fair. Attention has been paid to complete the fair in a peaceful and dignified manner,” said Chandrika Prasad Gupta, Ward President of Janaki Rural Municipality-2
“Guruwa village fair located in Janaki rural municipality-5 Belhari is also crowded with people. Indians also came in large numbers to see the fair,” said Tikanath Yadavlai, chairman of Ward No. 5._Rss
