Steven Kingsley Berry, a UK tourism entrepreneur, recently led a team on the Annapurna North Base Camp Trek in Nepal. The trek is a less-explored route starting from Narchyang and offers stunning views of mountains like Annapurna I and Mount Machhapuchhre. The trail was discovered in 2068 BS by a local team led by Tej Gurung after the previous route became risky. The trek took four days, and temporary bridges were built in 62 places.
The route is also known as the Maurice Herzog trail, named after the first successful ascent of Mount Annapurna in 1950. The trek is considered safe and has historical significance, attracting foreign tourists. Efforts are being made to promote the area, including expanding hotel facilities and constructing additional tourism infrastructure. The Annapurna North Base Camp lacks facilities like hotels and communication networks, which need improvement._Rss
