In a bid to promote Sanatan Vedic religion and culture, a religious library has been established at Radhakrishna Temple in Baglung Municipality-3. Shyam Prasad Shrestha and his family founded the Radhakrishna Religious Library at the temple. The Shrestha family has managed religious books worth Rs 400,000. Pithathish Swami Gyanananda Saraswoti of Harihar Ashram Devghat inaugurated the 'Radhakrishna Religious Library' amid a function here.
Radhakrishna Temple is a popular and holy religious shrine for Hindu devotees in the district. The library has more than 1,500 religious books and scriptures. Shrestha said that the library was founded in memory of his parents, Tara Prasad and Purna Kumari, and added that physical infrastructure and more books would be added to the library.
"We have planned to develop this library as an inseparable entity of Radhakrishna Temple," he said. On the occasion, Swami Gyanananda Saraswoti said that the library would help contribute to the promotion and publicity of Vedic religion, culture, and Eastern philosophy and civilization.
