Monsoon, which was active some days back, is gradually weakening.

The monsoon low-pressure trough close to the eastern Tarai region has started to exit from Nepal from today, leading to the gradual fizzling out of the monsoon, said Raju Pradhananga, a meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The weather is generally too cloudy throughout the country, with light to moderate rain taking place at some places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

It will generally be fully cloudy in most parts of the country towards the afternoon with chances of light to moderate precipitation at many places and of heavy rain accompanied by thunder at one or two places of Lumbini, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The latest weather update shared by the Meteorological Forecasting Division shows that the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was recorded at 19.0 degrees Celsius while the maximum was at 21.3 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, the lowest minimum temperature, 14.2 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Jumla, and the highest maximum temperature, 30.4 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Janakpur in the last 24 hours.
