Light to moderate rainfall is taking place in some parts of the country with the weather being mostly cloudy due to the influence of monsoon wind

The weather is generally too fully cloudy across the country due to the influence of monsoon wind and rainfall is taking place in most parts of the country. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rainfall is taking place in some parts of the Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces as the monsoon low-pressure system is currently situated a bit south of Nepal. 

Division's senior meteorologist Barun Poudel said the hilly region has been witnessing rains since last night and the Tarai region has also come under the influence of monsoon. Rain is expected in the region throughout today. 

As Poudel said, the monsoon has been forecast to remain active for a week and rainfall is expected until coming Friday. Rain is more likely in the morning and night with a slight clear sky in the day. 

As per the Division's weather bulletin for the next three days, there will be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country. Tonight, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the country while heavy rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

On Tuesday, there remain chances of light to moderate rainfall in many places with generally too full cloudy across the country. Heavy rainfall with thunder has been forecast at few places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschmi provinces.

The same weather system is likely to continue in the night as well. Heavy thundershower is likely at a few places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces with generally to fully cloudy at most parts of the country.
