The movement of domestic tourists has increased in the Melamchi-9 cave hill of Sindhupalchok. After the climate conference inaugurated by President Bidya Devi Bhandari in the year 2075, Gufa Danda climate park has started to become an attractive tourist destination after the construction of necessary infrastructure for tourism promotion in Gufa Danda.
Gufa Danda Climate Park located in Melamchi Municipality-9 is attractive and charming. From here, one can view the high mountain ranges like Dhulikhel, and Nagarkot along with various snow ranges. In terms of clean climate, religious, cultural, and archeological importance and herbs, Gufa Danda is like an earthly paradise.
Before the first National Climate Conference, there is a rush of tourists to visit the Gufa Danda Climate Park with the development of the tourist destination after the Climate Conference.
Meetings and seminars of various organizations have started to be organized in the Gufa Danda Climate Park and the activity has increased.
It is difficult to reach the mountain where the tourists are waiting during the rainy season. There is a shortage of hotels and homestays here. The aim is to establish a tea garden, a forest feast, a view tower, a resort, a playground, and a museum reflecting the culture in this area by making a master plan for tourism promotion.
“The legend called Gufa Danda has been developed as an attractive destination in recent times due to the fact that Lamas lived in caves to gain knowledge,” said Chief Administrative Officer Amritkumar Dhital.
