Crowds of bathers and worshipers at Godavari Dham

Bathing and worshipping in the Godawari Dham on the day of Makar Sankranti will purify you of all sins and help you achieve virtue

Since last night, thousands of devotees have come to take bath in the Godawari Dham located in Godavari Municipality-4 of Kailali. A tank has been built for bathing. Bahrrashi Darshan Makarmela has also started in that place today. It is believed that on the day of Makar Sankranti, bathing in the river Godavari will free you from all sins and attain virtue. It is believed that Lord Krishna took a bath in this Dham, which is the ancient Godavari among the seven Godavari.

Devotees from far western districts of India have come to Godavari to fill the fair. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Twelve Rashi Darshan Makar Mela is also organized in Godavari. It is said that the fair will be conducted till the 12th of Magh. For the convenience of the devotees, the Godavari Municipality has arranged a free bus for one day today and established a help room for the duration of the fair._Rss
