Baglung's Kathekhola Rural Municipality-3 Okhle and Myagdi's Beni Municipality-3 Bhakimal have Beldhunga on their heads. Beldhunga at an altitude of 2,600 meters has recently become the choice of domestic and foreign tourists. The crowd of tourists climbing Beldhanga is the same whether it is in monsoon or in winter. Until half a decade ago, this place was in the dark because the road leading here was not easy.
When the road network connected Beldhunga, then this place became the choice of many people. People who go to play in the snow in winter and escape the winter in summer are very busy in Beldhunga. It didn't snow this year. But there was no shortage of those who followed the sunrise and the view. Beldhunga is close to Baglung and Beni markets, so tourists easily reach here.
According to local residents, the daily arrival of tourists is increasing as it can be reached through transport and footpath. After the construction of footpaths and bicycle lanes, the number of hikers is increasing.
There is a community homestay in Okhle village near Beldhunga. As a result, food, accommodation, and accommodation are being managed for the tourists who come here. From here, one can easily see mountains, Kaski, and Gulmi, along with numerous snow ranges, along with most of Baglung and Myagdi terrain.
Now with the start of the season for covering the forest with the flowering of the wild gooseberry, there has been an increase in the number of domestic tourists.
Until five to six years ago, Beldhunga was very deserted, the locals used to cut grass and firewood here, and since it was the border of Myagdi and Baglung, few people used to come, but it was not like now. The homestay is also doing well when tourists come to Beldhunga. Water supply and toilets have not been managed here, it would be better if they were managed.
The number of students and various organizations coming to visit and eat forest food on holidays has recently increased. Swargasram is a famous religious place in Bhakimle of Myagdi. Devotees who come to worship here also come to climb Beldhunga. Until two years ago, one had to risk climbing the boulders, but now one can easily reach the top via a footpath.
Beldhunga has been widened and arranged with Rs 259,000 allocated by Kathekhola Rural Municipality last year, while a footpath has been constructed by laying 260 meters of slate stones from Deurali hill to here with the budget of Rs 2000,000 of Gandaki provincial government. A 250-meter bicycle land has also been built towards Baglung Municipality-6 Panchkot.
Beldhunga is the head of Kathekhola, it is a pride, there are still many structures to be built in this place, its face has changed a lot compared to before, now we work to create communication, promote and bring in more tourists, achieve prosperity here through tourism. The goal is to do.
“Beldhunga has not been empty for a single day this year. Even during the rainy season, tourists come to visit here by footpath. He says that after infrastructure construction and publicity, tourists have started coming to Beldhunga in twelve months,” said Secretary of Beldhunga Community Homestay, Gopal Shrees.
“I also came to visit because the pictures and videos of this place have gone viral on social media. This place is really like heaven, the mountains can be seen in front of the eyes, the hills, the forest, the animals and birds can be seen in such a place, it is probably rare. We were a team of seven people and we had fun." Said Sujan Khatri from Galkot in Baglung.
“Beldhunga Rural Municipality is the main tourist destination and is planning to promote it. Talking about the construction of some infrastructure works here in the previous years, he says that toilets, drinking water, and roads leading here will be made more organized,” said the spokesperson of Kathekhola Rural Municipality, Tika Sangam Vick._Rss
