The Pokhara city government, together with the Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province Office and local people involved in businesses, are planning the very first National Dragon Boat Race Competition in Nepal. It's set to happen on Chaitra 11 and 12 in the year 2080 according to the Nepali calendar.

This event is all about celebrating a traditional sport called Dragon Boat Racing. In this sport, teams compete by paddling in long boats that look like dragons. It's a big deal because it's the first time such an event is happening in Nepal. The organizers are working with local business owners and others in the community to make sure everyone is part of it and supports it.

This competition is not just about sports; it's also a chance to celebrate Nepali culture. People from all over Nepal and maybe even from other countries will come to watch and take part. Pokhara hopes this event will help people learn more about its culture, bring in more tourists, and give a chance for people who love sports to show their talents. It's going to be a really special event, full of teamwork, tradition, and fun adventures on the water.
