Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) organised Nepal Sales Mission 2022 to Bangkok where 11 Nepalese exhibitors and 45 plus Thai tour operators partook at the ‘B2B Sessions’ at the Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on August 1, 2022. The event was followed by a formal function and networking dinner reception.
The PATA Nepal Chapter organised its first post-pandemic overseas tourism promotion event in Thailand in collaborative efforts with the Embassy of Nepal in Thailand, Nepal Airlines, PATA HQ and PATA Thailand Chapter, Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA), SS Group Thailand, Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), and Jawalakhel Group of Industries (JGI). Representatives of 20 tourism professionals, along with PATA Nepal Chapter Executives and Members, participated in the 6th International Tourism Exhibition.
His Excellency Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Nepal's ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand also attended the event as the chief guest. He highlighted the attractions of Nepal’s tourism and encouraged the Thai Travel Agents and Visitors by assuring the full support of Nepal embassy for visa issuance, necessary information and other cooperation with regard to their travelling to Nepal.
Speaking at the event, PATA CEO Liz Ortiguera emphasised the history and importance of the global fraternity of PATA, appreciating the pro-activeness of PATA Nepal Chapter in promotion of Nepal tourism through collaboration between PATA Chapters in the region.
