With the aim of attracting tourists, two kilometers south of Mukti Chowk in Birtamod, the Nautalle View Tower has been constructed with private investment. Educator Jayanarayan Dhungana has built a view tower with an investment of Rs. 1 crore.
Dhungana, an educator who established the first Kankai English residential secondary school in the district four decades ago, has recently been involved in the construction of a tourist park. Lychee, mango, and other fruit plants are grown in that garden. Tourists who come for sightseeing can buy and eat fresh fruits in the garden as well as view the scenery.
Dhungana has started building the park for the past six years. The Nautale Butar built by him in the garden is one hundred and nine feet high. From here, one can view various places of Jhapa. There are preparations for the operation of the shopping complex up to eight floors of the tower.
Domestic tourists have started coming to the park. Arrangements have been made to hold seminars and forest dinners in the park. The garden has also been constructed. Arrangements are being made for a swimming pool, resort, and futsal playing in the park.
"I made the garden not with the intention of making money, but with the idea of educating the society and making the environment clean. Lychee festival is being held every year in the park", said Dhungana.
“This view tower and garden in Birtamod, the main business center of Jhapa, has the potential to attract domestic and foreign tourists,” said Vijay Baral, a Local._Rss
