On 4th March 2021, a Press meet was held at the FNCCI premises for the introduction and announcement of Launchpad 2021, a career and Job Fair, by People First.
The Press Meet was graced with the presence of the Founder of People First Ms. Ichhya Malla, NYEF Kathmandu Chapter President Ms. Samiksha Rai, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Nepal Mr. Abdullah Tuncer Kececi, and CEO of iClean Technology Tashi Gyalzen Sherpa.
Launchpad is a three days event. The main objectives of these three days events are to empower the youth and to decrease unemployment in the country. The event will start with a Career Counselling Seminar on March 11, 2021, by the Vice Dean of Johns Hopkins University, USA. On March 12 there is a panel discussion with the HR head of the reputed organization in the country covering the topic What Employers Seek in Employees followed by another panel discussion on Jobs of the future: What Nepal holds next with the reputed Business owners in the country. On the last day, there is a Job Expo which will be conducted on 13th of March 2021 at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu, where employers, students, and job seekers will meet under one roof to personally interact with each other. They have invited employers from diverse industries.
Launchpad is supported by Turkish Airlines as its Airlines Partner, Kathmandu College of Management, Nepalese Young Entrepreneur Forum (Kathmandu Chapter), KTM CTY, iClean technology, Maitreya Furniture, Mastakala, New Business Age, Kasthamandap Television, Events Mo, and CSIT.

Currently, Turkish Airlines Kathmandu operates regular flights to Istanbul and beyond and is the only European carrier that connects Nepal directly to Europe. Due to the current pandemic scenario Turkish Airlines globally operates to around 219 destinations safely and hygienically.
