Regular air flight from Kathmandu-Rumjatar-Biratnagar will come into operation every Friday from today. Preparation has been made to resume the Rumjatar Airport, closed for the past three years, after linking it with Kathmandu and Biratnagar, said member of State-1 assembly, Ambir Babu Gurung.
He said that it would be easier for movement of people of the area along with tourism promotion once the airport comes into operation in regular manner.
Regional Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation, Narayan Puri, said that the Corporation has made preparation to operate flights to Rumjatar every Friday.
Puri added that the Corporation has set a plan to make flights in other days too after coordinating with local government and administration viewing the crowd of passengers in near future.
