The means of transportation have started operating on the Thankot-Chitlang road section from today. Under Kantilokpath, traffic had to be stopped for a few days due to road maintenance at Bagmati and Bhattedanda in Lalitpur.
Since this morning, transport vehicles have been operating on the road from Balkhu in Kathmandu to Hetauda via Dakshinkali towards Sisneri. Earlier, traffic from Kathmandu to Hetauda via Kantilopath was brought into operation.
For the repair of the Bhimfedi-Kulekhani road, vehicles going from Hetauda to Kathmandu are being operated through the Chitlang-Thankot road for about a month and a half ago to repair the Fakhel and Sisneri road sections of Kulekhani road section.
A few days ago, according to the decision of the joint meeting of the Transport Management Office Kathmandu and the related agencies and local administration, the traffic of Kantilokpath was closed and the Thankot-Chitlang road was brought into operation for implementation.
Vehicles coming from Balkhu in Kathmandu to Hetauda will be operated from Thankot-Chitlang road from today till next Chaitra 10th and vehicles going from Hetauda to Kathmandu via Kulekhani will continue to operate till Chaitra 10th.
“Around 2000 light vehicles are operating daily from Kathmandu to Hetauda and from Hetauda to Kathmandu,” said Hiralal Shrestha, President of Narayani Transport Business Association._Rss
