A tourism promotion program was recently organized in the Ne-Pemachal valley, near the base camp of the Jugal mountain, aimed at promoting tourism in the district. The program, held on the occasion of the New Year 2080, was attended by outgoing Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, Member of Parliament Madh8av Sapkota, Member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Saral Sahayatri, Chairperson of Jugal Rural Municipality Resham Syangbo, and Vice Chair Himal Kumar Shrestha.
The Chairperson of Jugal Rural Municipality Syangbo expressed confidence that the program will help boost tourism in the area. Domestic tourists from across the country traveled for four days to participate in the program.
The government's decision to open five more peaks under the Jugal mountain for climbing, named 'Jugal 1' to 'Jugal 5', without charging fees for five years has further added to the enthusiasm of the mountain tourism sector. It is believed that the opening of these mountains near the federal capital for climbing will contribute to the development of tourism in the valley.
With such initiatives and promotions, the Ne-Pemachal Valley+ and Jugal Mountain are set to become popular destinations for domestic and international tourists alike and boost the local economy in the process._Rss
