According to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) would launch its flight from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA).
Following his inspection at the airport, the Minister pledged to take initiations towards that end once he reached Kathmandu.
The Minister would inquire about possible reasons why the national flag carrier was yet to reach the airport for its services. He assured that NAC would launch its services targeting the airport soon. Efforts go on to bring other airline companies here.
During the foreign minister’s Sri Lanka visit, efforts were also made for the operation of the Colombo-Bhairahawa-Colombo flight. The Minister vowed to address diplomatic and technical issues for the operation of the airport and provide all necessary support towards that end.
It may be noted that Jazeera Airway and Himalaya Airlines which were providing regular flights to and from the airport suspended services in Poush, citing adverse atmospheric conditions._Rss
