Kupandol, Lalitpur – June 25, 2025 — In a landmark move for Nepal’s creative and tourism sectors, Photo Pathshala, in collaboration with Nepal Traveller, has launched the country’s first-ever Travel Photography Course. This six-month intensive program is designed to provide aspiring travel photographers with the skills, experience, and exposure needed to thrive in the evolving field of visual storytelling.
Though Nepal is celebrated globally for its natural beauty and cultural diversity, professional avenues to explore and document this richness have remained limited. This new initiative not only addresses that gap but also redefines the role of photography in promoting responsible and immersive travel experiences.
Offered from Photo Pathshala’s campus in Kupandol, the course integrates both theoretical foundations and practical, field-based learning, providing a comprehensive approach to travel photography education.

Key Features of the Course:
Guided Photo Walks and On-Location Shoots: Participants will engage in curated travel experiences across diverse landscapes, guided by experienced mentors and industry professionals.
Travel Portfolio Development: The course supports learners in crafting a distinctive body of work that reflects their personal perspective, style, and rhythm of travel.
Composition and Visual Storytelling: Emphasis is placed on developing the ability to tell compelling, context-rich stories through imagery—an essential skill for contemporary travel photography.
Internship and Project-Based Assignments: A key component of the program is real-world exposure. Through internships and live project assignments, students will work with travel media, tourism boards, and creative agencies, gaining industry experience and professional insight.
Intensive Curriculum: The six-month duration is structured to offer a rigorous yet immersive learning environment, balancing classroom instruction with hands-on practice in the field.
This pioneering course is expected to attract a new generation of storytellers who see travel not only as exploration, but also as a platform for meaningful documentation and creative expression.
