Although foreign hunters used to reach the reserve directly by helicopter for hunting, with road access, hotel facilities, and publicity, domestic and foreign tourists have also started arriving there for sightseeing. Nepalese and foreign tourists have to pay an entrance fee to enter the reserve area where hunting of Naur and Jharal can be done legally.
The entry fee for foreign tourists is as per the rules, while for Nepalese it is Rs 100 per person. In the year 2077-78, six thousand seven hundred three domestic and foreign tourists came to the reserve area, while in the current year 2078-79, nine thousand nine hundred and nineteen tourists have come to the hunting reserve area. The number of tourists will reach around 12,000 this year.
At the Dhorpatan entrance point, Deurali, foreign tourists were previously allowed to enter by paying a fee, but in the year 2077-78, domestic tourists will also have to pay Rs 100 entry fee. 91 in 2072/73, 139 in 2073/74, 199 in 2074/75, 480 in 2075/76, and 320 in 2076/77.
Similarly, along with tourists coming to Dhorpatan, there has been a significant increase in revenue.
