Manu Gurung went to climb Aconcagua, the 6,960-metre mountain in Mandoza province of Argentina on February 1st, 2023. It is the highest mountain in the South American continent.
Manu Gurung has been involved in mountain tourism for a long time and has been participating in mountaineering.
Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Nason Rural Municipality informed, “She has already successfully climbed Tent, Chulu West, Annapurna 4th, Mira, Island, Fokalde, Lobuche and Dhampus Peak in Annapurna region.”
According to him, an organisation called 'Mountain Women of the World' Network has helped 15 women from different countries in climbing.
It is said that out of those who went climbing, only nine people managed to climb the mountain._RSS
