The 6th Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM 2026), Nepal’s premier international travel and tourism trade event, entered a significant phase on 3 June with the commencement of its highly anticipated Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions, bringing together tourism stakeholders, buyers, sellers, and industry leaders from around the world.

Day Three of the event, which marked the first day of the B2B Mart, officially began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mr. Andrew Jones, Chair of the PATA Foundation, formally opening the marketplace for business engagements and networking opportunities.

The day also witnessed the arrival of the Chief Guest, Hon. Khadak Raj Paudel, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Government of Nepal. His presence underscored the importance of Himalayan Travel Mart as a strategic platform for promoting Nepal’s tourism industry and strengthening international partnerships.

As the B2B sessions got underway, Nepal’s leading luxury hotels, resorts, destination management companies, airlines, trekking operators, and tourism enterprises engaged in scheduled meetings with international buyers, delegates, and tourism professionals representing more than 27 countries.

The sessions provided a dynamic platform for participants to explore new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and showcase Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings to global markets. Discussions focused on strengthening inbound tourism, enhancing destination visibility, and fostering long-term collaboration between Nepal and international travel trade stakeholders.

Building on the momentum generated during the opening days of HTM 2026—which featured insight forums, keynote presentations, plenary discussions, and thought leadership sessions on sustainability, adventure travel, wellness tourism, MICE, destination weddings, regenerative tourism, and digital innovation—the B2B Mart serves as the event’s core business component, translating dialogue into tangible commercial opportunities.

With hundreds of pre-scheduled meetings taking place throughout the day, the B2B sessions reaffirmed Himalayan Travel Mart’s role as a leading platform for connecting Nepal’s tourism industry with global buyers and decision-makers.

Organised by PATA Nepal Chapter, Himalayan Travel Mart 2026 continues through 4 June at The Plaza, Pulchowk, bringing together tourism leaders, industry professionals, media representatives, and delegates from across the world to shape the future of travel and tourism in Nepal and the Himalayan region.
