The government has welcomed the female pilots of the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) for international flights.

Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kirati today welcomed the women's flight crew at Tribhuvan International Airport. The Minister of Tourism has reached the airport to give encouragement to the women crew who took the Kathmandu-Dubai-Kathmandu flight.

The international flight of women has given a positive message not only to tourism but also to the whole country.  It has been proved that women can do something for society through this flight.

For the first time in the aviation history of the corporation, a female pilot flew an international flight (Kathmandu to Dubai and back to Kathmandu).

Today the female crew of the company's Airbus 'A' 320 flight took off from Dubai to Kathmandu. Two female pilots took off the company's Airbus 'A'-320 flight from Kathmandu to Dubai on Falgun 20 at 11 pm.

Today's Dubai-Kathmandu flight of the Corporation was flown by pilot Bhawana Pant and first officer Sreejana Raut. All the crew members of this flight were women. According to the corporation, all the flight attendants were women.

For the first time in its flight history, a female pilot flew an international flight. Today, on the day of International Women's Day, the corporation made this coincidence. The corporation has six female pilots on both domestic and international flights.

“For the first time in the history of Nepal's aviation sector, a female pilot has created a new history by flying an international flight,” said Tourism Minister, Kirati after welcoming the female pilot at the airport

"This flight marks the first time in Nepalese aviation history that women have flown a plane. Today is the 113th World Women's Day. I welcomed and congratulated them (female flight crew) and went to the airport to raise their morale", Tourism Minister, Kirati said.

“The team of pilot Bhawana Pant and first officer Sreejana Raut flew Kathmandu-Dubai-Kathmandu,” said Assistant spokesperson of the corporation, Ganesh Kumar Ghimire._Rss
