The number of domestic tourists has started to increase in Tapli Pond of Tapli Rural Municipality of Udaipur.
Hundreds of tourists are visiting the pond and visiting the Panchakanya temple every day. It is the second most important religious and tourist destination in the district after Rauta Pond. Even the groups have started coming to this area for Ban Bhoj.
According to the legend, four hundred years ago, there were large forests and forests in the pond area. One day, a shepherd told the villagers that five girls were playing in the forest, but they disappeared as they approached. The local Dumbar Pariyar says that the pond originated when he went to the place the next day.
It is believed that seeing Tapli Panchakanya Devi will grant one's wish. Kamla Rai, the former vice president of the rural municipality, now a large number of tourists are coming from Katari, Gaighat, Saptari, Sirha, Dhanusha, and Sindhuli areas as a result of the initiative of the rural municipality.
Tapli area has been developed as a master plan for the development of internal and external tourism. Electricity extension and a view tower are currently being constructed in this area.
As more than 50,000 tourists arrive in this area every year from October to April, budget has been requested from the state government and the federal government for a master plan for the development and promotion of tourism in this area.
