The country recorded 3,260 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours with 33 deaths taking the total death toll to 10,212

The country recorded 3,260 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. 

This was revealed after 15,462 samples including 10,806 through RT-PCR and 4,656 antigen tests carried out in various laboratories across the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
This takes the caseload of COVID-19 infection in the country to 725,769 to date. 

Likewise, 2,294 people recovered during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 677,377 with the recovery rate standing at 93.3 percent.

Meanwhile, 33 people lost their lives in the past 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 10,212. The case fatality rate stands at 1.5 percent.

The number of active cases in the country is 38,180. Among them, 34,838 are in home isolation and 3,342 in institutional isolation. Of the infected, 737 are undergoing treatment at ICU while 183 are with ventilator support and 441 in quarantine facilities.

Meanwhile, 2,922,240 people have been fully vaccinated as of now while 4,593,526 have received the first dose of the vaccines against the flu-like infection.
