This is the latest and less frequented plane than other planes flying on the trunk route in Nepal. The lifespan of an aircraft is based on its cycle and flight hours. ATR aircraft have more than 70,000 cycles. One flight is counted as one cycle.
The authority has given the call sign Nine N-AMJT to that aircraft. The 70-seat aircraft was leased from an Australian company. Spokesperson Bertaula informed that the aircraft with MSN number 986 had only flown 8,273 cycles and 10,291 hours.
This is the latest product in the 72-500 series aircraft produced by ATR Company. The company will produce only one more aircraft after this aircraft, stopped the production of that series and started the production of 72-600 series aircraft.
Now, the airline has been providing its services on mountain flights to Nepal's convenient destinations such as Kathmandu Chandragarhi, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Simra, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj and charter and non-scheduled flights to international destinations.
“The newly added aircraft is scheduled to fly from Tribhuvan International Airport to Biratnagar at 8.20 am today after completing all necessary procedures and obtaining flight permission from the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority.” said Sudarshan Bartola, spokesperson of the airlines.
"We have started the flight in celebration of the great festival of Nepali, Dashain. We believe that this will help to reduce the flight pressure during Dashain and to fill the flight on time", said the spokesperson Bertaula.
“The excellent interior, luxury seats and air-conditioning will make the journey of the plane even more comfortable.” Said Yeti Airlines._Rss
