Three more COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in Kapilvastu and Banke

Three new COVID-19 cases have been found and with this the number of people infected with novel coronavirus has reached 457 throughout the country, the Ministry of Health and Population said.

Ministry's assistant spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in two males and one female on the basis of tests carried out on Thursday night at Bheri Hospital Nepalgunj and at Province Public Health Laboratory Rupandehi. Among the infected people are 32-year-old man from Narainapur Rural Municipality-3 and a 42-year-old woman from Khajura Rural Municipality-3 of Banke District and a 19-year-old man from Suddhodhan Rural Municipality in Kapilvastu district.

Coronavirus infection was found in 30 persons on Thursday alone. So far three people have died from COVID-19. Dr Adhikari said the health condition of the infected people is normal and they were under the observation of health workers.
